Actions and menus
Two menus work on the selected files.
- The context menu (right-click) in the Windows 10 style: all items at once, including items from other programs such as 7-Zip, TortoiseGit and Notepad++. Learn more on the “Context menu” page.
- The “Actions” menu in the window header: what Wander does itself. Its first line tells you what the action applies to: “3 CR3”, “4 images”, “5 files”, “2 folders”, “7 items”, the name of a single file, or “Folder: D:\Photos” if nothing is selected.
In the “Actions” menu:
- “Batch rename…”, see “Batch rename”;
- “My actions”: custom actions, such as opening files in your own program or running a script, see “Custom actions”;
- “Convert”: video, music, images, documents, previews from RAW, see “Conversion”;
- “Extract here” and “Extract…” for archives;
- “Create shortcut”, “Copy path”, “Open in Terminal”.
The menu shows only what fits the selection. “My actions” and “Convert” are in the context menu too, and when you right-drag files onto a folder, their results go straight there. You can remove unneeded items from both menus in “Settings” → “File operations” → “Context menu”.
